DIY Magnetic Marker Holder
Ever met someone who remembers everything and nothing? They can remember what they ate last month or the name of someone they briefly met a year ago. This same person can’t remember what they did last night or what they are supposed to be doing right now. Yep, that’s me and I’m sure its a lot of other people out there too.
One of the best things that I can do to help myself out is write down in a very conspicuous spot my to-dos. For me that spot is my giant whiteboard. This thing is awesome.
The one problem I have with it is that the little pen holder there at the bottom doesn’t actually hold anything. Markers slide right off onto the floor where they become a doggy chew toy.
That black marker can’t even stay still for the picture.
To solve this problem I’ve come up with a simple and cheap diy project that should take ten minutes tops. Cute little boxes held to the board with magnets.
- Old food cartons — I used a spaghetti and a quinoa box
- Pretty Paper — stationary, wrapping paper, etc
- Super Glue
Cut the tops off the boxes. I left about 3″-4″ on mine.
Take your paper and tape it to the outside of the boxes.
Super glue the magnets to the back of the box.
Put on your white board or fridge. Fill the boxes with Markers, towels, charging cables, whatever!
All done. A super easy project to help keep you organized in a snap!
